From living labs to academic networks: developments in Dutch pharmaceutical care research
Pharmacy practice research in the Dutch primary care setting has seen some important developments over the last years. These are based in a stronger cooperation between researchers as well as between researchers and health care professionals. In this presentation, two examples will be highlighted. The first one is the establishment of eight living labs across the countries to test the implementation of interventions that have been proven to effectively impact medication adherence in real world setting. The other one is the establishment of academic networks of pharmacies across the country to stimulate research in the primary care pharmacy setting. One academic network, the Academic Network of Northern Pharmacies (ANNA) will be highlighted. For both examples, their history as well as their current status and results will be discussed.
